Cheers D.H., I just noted you posted very recently four seperate new topics in quick succession. Thus: 'how to post pix under articles?' 'How long til SV papers are issued?' 'SchH judging' 'Unbiased judging' What strikes me as rather odd here is that till then you never initiated new topic before, and that of all the contributors on Board (and one merely needs here to refer back to superior knowledge displayed by your previous posts), you are possibly the best person, or best placed, to answer the very same topics you suddenly raised! I also note that I'd just posted what I thought was rather a cogent reply to your post under Conflict of Interest topic. And that previously, Solo also deemed it necessary (although apparently quite content to grab minor tit-bit of my input for his website or Magazine or whatever!) to quickly divert attention elsewhere, and concluded by sabotaging Board with repetitive post, when he thought things went rather against him in Judging On the Day (or whatever the excruciating wording!). I'm retaining sense of humour here, and happily accept Charlie's opinion that you are person of integrity; but rather wondered if you'd care to comment? Is your approach here one of being 'simply too clever', or otherwise? Perish the thought I'm becoming as paranoid as some of our UK friends under topic mentioned above! And, similarly, the thought of any nasty personal attacks - not necessary!

Cheers Again D.H., I just realised my error: for Conflict of Interest please read Judging Dogs.

Hi Peter the how to post pix under articles came because I was fiddling with it and not getting where I wanted fast enough. Impatient at times... how long til papers are issued: people always ask, but never get a proper answer! It always ends up in a bitching session about person x or person y that did not get papers to person z in a spiffy and everyone has yet another field day. And the actual topic at hand is never actually dealt with properly. Replies come from people that have never made the effort to call the SV or the AKC or whichever club they are dealing with and actually get the facts from them on that subject. Posting some real dates is a real answer and thought some others might feel compelled to include some of their own experiences. I have not looked yet if any responses have come it. If not, I reckon topic is not dramatic enough ;o). SchH judging: there are not that many working people on this board that participate. On the other hand ALL dogs that are shown and bred under SV rules also need to be titled. But few ever talk about what happens at the trials... Unbiased juding: so far several topics are on the go, but IMO so far no constructive suggestion how to make it better have been put out there. I do have a few ideas, would like to see some brainstorming going on here. How come there are no replies other than yours? Point being: most topics are started and then take a very different turn. Questions are put out there, but it seems that no one really WANTS an answer.Could that be? And yes, I usually like to keep a low profile. I hardly ever spend that much time on the message board. In most cases I reply to the person directly via private eMail, if I feel that I can be of assistance. Some recent events though have prompted me to do some personal PR so to speak - to balance out the very onesided and distorted view someone was putting out here. So before I let things quiet down again around me, a quick stir in the pot :o). Then peak under the lid a few times to see how things are brewing. No bad intentions, just a very small effort to maybe get people to consider the other side of things as well. Cheers. D.

Cheers D.H., Apology perhaps for inflicting such detailed response on you? On conflict of interest/judging topics I reluctantly seem here to be engaged in a 'devil's advocat' role. I'm originally from Europe and know a bit about local scene, but love to know more about wider participants' experiences. Larger bulk of participants, as you say, would much rather be comfortingly blind! (And not only in this field!) Here's a poser: my impressions, as only from Web and some private communications, make me think that this activity is organised rather better in Scandinavian countries than elsewhere. Any opinion? Too much endless paperwork is a curse! The clubs seemm fairly predictable albeit slow, but proper exchange between buyer and seller seem to cause most problems.(The level of understanding of some players doesn't help either!) It strikes me that SchH trials are a bit more 'scientific' - points etc - than conformation activity. Look forward to hear your ideas on how to improve the latter. The fact that you go out of your way to be helpful to others on the Board, certainly didn't escape my attention. Or, when I tried to access this topic earlier, I only receive 'Reconnected By Peer' response. As I'm the greatest computer ignoramus I know, we'll just leave that one alone! Thank you again - P.

Hi again Peter. No appology needed of course. Where is Charlie today???

Wish he'd appear to defend himself against wildthing rantings under Bad Dentition. Regards.
