Rainwater

I would like to thank everyone for their replies.  I apologize for not being as well versed as all of you on the internet.  The conversation was great and informative.  There is always more than one side of everything.  Quite frankly, if I could have figured out how to change the photo I would have and left the subject alone.  I'll try to answer some of your comments.  I did take the photo myself.  I am proud of it no matter the quality or subject.  That is why posted it.  I am a new breeder and so is the person who added it to the data base.  That is not the issue.   I don't really care except that they could have asked.  If you steal a photo or info and use it only for your own information and no financial gain is that different? I have done it too.  I've had most pro photographers tell me they don't mind free advertising until the build a name.  It was naieve of me to think it would not happen although I figured it was possible.  Who has the right definitely is a good debate.  I wouldn't be happy if my neighbors took stuff out of my yard and put it in their's.  Is that the same thing?  It is why I am not on FB or have a website although a have paid for a domain.  My mother said thirty years ago people spy can on you and steal your information through the internet and your phone (landline then) and we all laughed at her.  I for one would like to see the internet remain free as possible.   Like dog parks or rual living!

You can't just say things like that and then not post the picture!

"BTW, the picture is very impressive."

No one stole your photo     On our site we like pics of the dog in our pedigree. It is still a puzzle to me that you would object to a person putting on a dog u bred or sold  not sure which, that was impressive , especially since you state you posted on club property.

How would anyone vision you to object to a good pic since gsd admin can assure you, they spent years getting pics of toilets, donkeys, faces of the devil  and luid garbage posted on peoples dogs here on PDB.  The new process now tells them everyone who logs onto your dog and who changes anything.  Most of us that have dogs have gone in pedigrees we have on our dogs and the dogs two, three generations back are not complete so we add the titles etc. I want to be proud of my dogs pedigrees,  so why not post an update if you have it?  I have no clue how to call anyone in the past and some present, to ask their permission to achieve a better database.

Now I would ask you, politely to share the pedigree picture you were so upset about..

We share here on PDB and we love pics and good discussions. We do tell it like it should be, and to fault, sometimes you,or anyone asking gets replies they may not like.  SOME GO BEYOND kindness but such is life. We have moderators now to curb that.
