mittelwest kennels - Page 6

I am thinking of flying out to look at dogs at this kennel in late March (actually cheaper to fly than drive amazingly enough)- does anyone know of any other kennels in the area that I may be able to take a look at while I am out there? By the way- they have been really friendly to deal with so far in the puppy search for the original post person. Thanks! Sara

I hardly think that I'm chastising anyone, I thought the topic was Mittlewest Kennel. In answer to your question, I think they are great.........very helpful, informative, beautiful dogs. I would highly recommend them.

Betty, Yes I thought about going to another club, however I would like to try to make the current club that I belong to now work. I'm not known to quit over a simple solution. I'm well aware of another club in south Florida (In Miami). I wouldn't say that my Club is that active. It's only Active if people take Schutzhund seriously... not just viewing only the protection portion. A lot of people do not like being challenge. Earning a BH is a challenge for you and how your dog performs. Thank god that BH is a MUST in order to get a SchH title.

Brittany, we don't have a club here. Just one guy who really cannot catch dogs anymore teaching a new helper. And we pay weekly. It is worth it though. Why not find someone willing to learn and then you can all learn together...? I know that it is not the ideal "club" situation, but it is a great way to learn. Lorri

Mysti... I do not have a mittelwest dog myself... but I have met Julie and many of her dogs as well... If you choose to go with her (which I hope you do...) I dont think you'll regret it... but there are ALOT of other good breeders out there as well... If you want to contact me by email I can list off some other kennels that I would reccogmend. Jordyn
