I am new to this site and found some very useful information and new things to try. I have a question we have a 2 1/2 year old male GSD with epi (diagnosed a 1 1/2 years ago) and has alot of allergies. He has recently started allergy shots which seems to have aggravated the epi. We have been feeding him Royal Canin venison and potatoe which has worked great to this point. We have been told that the shots should not be causing his relapse but I have my doubts, has anyone had this type of issue before, any comments welcome.
Thanks so much it's nice to know we aren't the only ones dealing with this problem.

EMail me privately and I can probably help you. Feeding him a venison diet with potatoe may or may not be the best diet. Dogs with EPI or problems that are sub-clinical do better with low fat, low fiber diet. Rice is the better carbohydrate.

I have a lot of experience dealing with dogs who have similar problems and may be able to help you.

Do you know about the EPI yahoo group? I've included the address below. My 20 month old male also has EPI and I have found this to be a great source of information. My dog does not have allergies but there are alot of very knowledgable people on this messageboard. I received better advice from them than from the vet!!!!Any change can cause a relapse with this disease.
