I'm fairly new to the working German Shepherd I'm curious as to what the seasoned Shepherd owners think about a breeding between Herr Kaiser Vom Krieger and E Zada Vom Haus Krieger! Kaiser is half west German working line and Zada is 100% east! There's a sample pedigree that's posted! Any information or comments on any of the dogs listed will be very much appreciated!

the information provided here does not indicate that either dog has been ofa'd or titled. while i am not convinced that
titles are absolutely essential, i do like to see some proof of working ability & solid nerves. to me, solid nerves would
be essential in a breeding that goes back to zidane & bastin. without solid nerves, you are breeding a pressure cooker
with no idea of when it may blow. putting pedigrees together may or may not be an indication of what you'll end up by
putting the dogs, themselves, together. personally, i wouldn't touch that breeding with a 10' pole. sorry.

My questions for you would be. How would this better the breed. What is the purpose of this breeding? What exceptional traits do these dogs offer.

For Ziegenfarm is does Zidane and Bastin dogs produce dogs without solid nerves? Both dogs have good prey drives and are highly intelligent and if they both were titled and proven would this be a good combination! I want to get into not necessarily competing but producing and training dogs for both personal and home protection! I'm very curious now about the Zidane and Bastin dogs and what if anything about Jabino Falco? Thanks!

zidane & bastin are both fine dogs, but i don't care how fine they are, you still have to take them to quality bitches.
as i said before, i would be worried about this breeding because there is no indication of nerve strength to
compliment the qualities of those males.

None of the dogs are titled in the entire pedigree?? Or am I missing something?

Ok thanks for your input! Let me ask you do the dogs I have come from good stock to invest time in?

Not Ziegenfarm, but I personally have seen quite a few Zidane kids. Some most certainly had nerve issues.

@CMills! There are dogs that are titled in like the fourth and further generations! From what I know the people I got the dogs from are not really into competing but breeding dogs for actual working in personal and home protection hence that's why they aren't titled but if you continue to look back at the pedigree a great deal of the dogs are titled! Can a dog still be a good dog without a title? I mean I know that does with titles have gone through some form of testing which qualified them for the title, but if my dog is used in service as a personal protection dog and he performs effectively but never competes would not he still be consided a good using dog even if he doesn't have a title? I'm looking to go down the same road as my breeders not looking to compete but train personal and home protection dogs! These dogs excel at what they do but they are not on the competitive circuit!
