Missing HD thread - Page 1

I noticed that one of the threads regarding HD has gone missing. Hmmmm what did we say wrong in that one? Anyway, this is for Bob-O who might not have read it befreo it wsa launched into cyberspace - You mentioned the independent OFA audit and I was wondering if those results can be found on the internet. Thanks.

It's not missing, I couldn't find it.

Blitzen, I remembered reading the results of the audit a few years ago. I just tried multiple entries with the Google search engine and cannot find anything similar to what I read. But I do remember well reading the document and wished that I had saved it for future reference. As I mentioned in the other post, the O.F.A. was heavily criticised about what appeared to some inconsistency in the results when the examiners were given the x-rays they had already scored, and asked to evaluate and score them again. Just under 50% of the previously-scored x-rays recieved a different grade than the original. The O.F.A., in a counter to this audit stated that the difference in opinions were most often for the x-rays that scored either Excellent or Fair. Essentially some Excellents were rescored as Good and some Fairs were rescored as Good or Borderline Dysplasie. And, were the particular x-rays selected on purpose by careful eyes? Who knows; not me. Past geometric modelling, there is still a bit of subjective data that one must take into account during the examination. One (1) examiner's determinatation of "roundness" may not be the same as another examiner's observation, and the first examiner may not always be consistent due to being a human. Darn it, I wish that I could find that report. If I ever see it again I will certainly save it. Bob-O
