Also, using PDB for a source of finding a pup through an advert is NOT the same thing as using the full contents of the site to do enough homework on what you might be buying; sounded to me as though the OP did not have much idea about what pups from current directly imported German stock would be likely to demonstrate in type. A little more 'due diligence' might have avoided misunderstanding; following the advice from members against buying 'unseen / unmet' could also have helped. JMO

The page on our website www.workinggermanshepherddogs.com was taken down after the puppy arrived.
I was NOT concerned with the color. Nothing wrong with the color. My point was she looks like a beagle hound puppy only dark.
I will post some photos of the pup from the angles where you can see how thin/light boned/small built she is, how her tail is not set correctly, and is very Sickle Carried at all times, and how her ears are set.

My Reply: Wouldn't it be GREAT if in this day and time we could GO and LOOK at every pup offered? The problem is all the good ones are sold on line before they ever reach 6 weeks.
I answered an ad here Sunday and by Monday the 3 week old pup already had a buyer.
I am just glad to have everything in writing from this buy. I DID ask the questions and asked them correctly. The breeder has told me how "experienced" they are.....I thought she meant at breeding, on the Standard for the Breed on the GSD, NOT AT "dooping" people.

This Is What Was On The Pups Page, Meet Tabaliah before we just took the whole thing down:
[title]SADLY. WE ARE NOT GOING TO KEEP THE PUPPY THAT SHOWED UP. IT WAS NOT UP TO THE STANDARD FOR THE BREED IN ANY WAY. SADLY THE PUPPY HAS 4 MAJOR STRUCTURAL FAULTS AS WELL AS OTHER BREED FAULTS.[/title]
[title]THIS PUPPY WAS NOT WHAT THEY REPRESENTED OVER THE INTERNET. WE FEAR WE WERE 'TAKEN IN' BY A PUPPY MILL! THEY ARE NOT STANDING BEHIND THIS PUPPY AND WE MAY END UP IN COURT OVER IT ALL. BUT IF WE DO, AT LEAST WE WILL WORK TO TAKE ANOTHER UNSCRUPULOUS PUPPY MILL AND INTERNET FRAUD OUT OF BUSINESS! WE DID NOT EVEN GET OUR AKC PAPERS ON THIS 8 WEEK OLD PUPPY! THEY SHOULD HAVE HAD THE PAPERS BY THE TIME THE PUP WAS AT MOST 4 WEEKS OLD![/title]
[title]WE ARE WORKING TO SHIP THIS PUPPY BACK TO THEM. IF THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PUPPY AND REFUND OUR FULL PAYMENT, I WILL BE PRINTING THEIR NAME AND ADDRESS HERE, AS WELL AS REPORTING THEM TO THE AUTHORITIES.[/title]

Also, the papers are coming. You said yourself that you called the AKC and the puppies were registered, albeit a little late. I don't see why this is an issue. You have until the puppy is a year old to register before being charged late fees.
On what grounds do you think this is a mill? I'm just curious.

Of course, I'm of the school of thought where the GSD as intended by the standard is a MEDIUM-sized breed, with the ideal male being 63.5-64 cm in height and in the 70 to 80 pound weight range, and the ideal female 62-63 cm and 60 to 70 pounds. If your vision is of 66-68 cm, 100 pound+ males 65-67 cm, 90 pound bitches, then I could see where you may well be disappointed.

And, as has been asked but not answered, where's the evidence of puppy-farming ?
That sort of assertion gets my goat, because its unprovable one way or t'other for readers here, and can do so much unnecessary damage to a breeder if its not true. In another thred recently I was 'told off' for not believing the owner of a thred, but she stated her vicious puppy came from a mating of a particular pair of dogs kept JUST to produce pups of that ilk, entirely separately from that breeders successful showline stock; now how the hell did she KNOW that was true ?
