Hi Folks

My Brother was looking at get a puppy from a breeder, got all heath test done...But then I found out they never waited for results before breeding.
They have the first litter on the ground, but EMBARK DNA came back both mom (carries one copy of ATP7B) and is at increased risk... and dad (carries both copies of ATP7B0 and is at increased risk.
They posted the results this week, so I do not know if they understand the results, or if they think it is still safe to have had the litter?

Am I not understanding this right, but you should not breed that? and now the puppies abviously 100% have it since they doubled up.

If I have this wrong, can someone explain how this is ok to breed and if ok what is the prognosis for the puppies?

Please, I need some more info on this genetic disorder. The breeder got their dogs from breeder we also know, so that could be extremely bad if that gene is in most of the puppies or dogs being sold, again I do not know if I have it wrong, buut as far as I can read and did search, you are not supoose to breed that, am I wrong??
