I do not agree into feeding your dogs extra chemicals in order to get rid of the heat scent or shoving stuffs up a dogs nose to distract him. would you do this kind of stuffs to your human tennagers when their experiencing sexual activities? probably no. The best thing to do, if you live inside of the normal size house is to crate BOTH dogs in seperate rooms until the heat is gone. Crates should be Double locked with a master lock... as some dogs are known to ecacpe from their crates to mate. Im pretty lucky so far from my male, Jake. My female, Zambi is in heat right now and my male doesnt have any interests of mounting her... only licking her private area... Hopefully it will contuine.

There is nothing you can do but control your temper and keep your dogs separate. It is the strongest drive in nature. Stronger than survival. Stronger than vapor rub. Seems like humans always want a magic pill to solve their problems. Having big dogs is hard work and understanding. Your loving male pet will fight through you or through a door to get to a female in heat. Sort of like us guys.
