Jim, keep up the job in writing your book. I think it is very much needed. In reviewing the first six chapters, what I like about it is driven by historical and statistical information. This is very important for future generations. Today we have a lot of factions in the breed driven by their likes, and what markets/Sells.
Consequently many have really lost sight, or never really experienced the German Shepherd as a working dog except for casual acquaintances. The breed in their eyes and knowledge has become a specialty dog depending on their specialty/Likes. The truth barometer of a working dog whether it is guide dog or LE or military dog is not only discarded, but has been supplanted by points, ribbons, and money as the criteria for worthiness. This comes with a price for the breed..... So , Thank You for writing this book.
