Has anyone ever hired a lawyer for getting ripped off from a broker that took money and did not hold up to getting you a dog or refunding your money? I have a broker who tried getting me a dog after i found out the dog was flawed i told him that dog was no good and i would not except dog, dont even bother sending . He then agreed to finding me new bitch but has never contacted me again. Sad thing he is a retired police officer.
I have a lawyer there that said bottom line is i get a dog or full refund. Just wondering if anyone has had succes before i fork out a few more thousand.
Thanks

You might find responses few and far between with how you treated individuals on here. Not the best way to 'make friends' around here, by telling people you don't value their opinion AFTER you ask for it.

i can give two craps on who you guys think is the best just a coverstaion peice to try to make coconversation to learn of people and make friends.

Merry Christmas, if you value that.

Sweet, its not that i dont value your opinion, i just dont value when people get off topic. Everyone takes off with a thread and goes a different direction with a topic like we have done here.
Im not some horrible person but see alot of people get beat down on here for asking simple questions. We are all on here for the same reason , we all share the same passion.
You have a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND!

AUB...is there a contract between you and a dealer- contract of what was expected of him and what services he were to provide for you? If there is read the part about legal actions it is usually the smallest print on the last page on the contract.
that part should give you a good idea what you can hold them accountable for and time frame like if they reserve a year to correct issue of providing replacement...

(I dont deal with dog contracts specifically but i deal with service/eq. contracts pretty much all the time...most issues can be resolved by having face to face, sometimes you need attorney but that usually always gets more muddier and if contract was written by joe shmoe and you signed it, its their contract and their interpretation of terms you agreed to it and now you have to follow their set of "rules" and both sides have to agree on interpretation, etc.... and its just a mess....hope you dont have to go that route.) sorry....

The reason it is all through emails is because hes a friend of one of my friends

well, w/o signed contract u ARE better off in a court of law because thats when common rule kicks in service provided, fee paid in real time....

I would cover your butt by sending certified letter stating what you are asking for and setting a time frame  (keep copy of the letter) and make sure you get signed certificate back that he received your letter.
via email he can say he never received it, or someone else checked email and he never saw anything from you.
get your documentation straight, cleared checks, bank statement, letters, etc....

I am sure you talked to friends to see what was the reason for this mess....was reason ever given?

No reason ive set in on. Conversation and he changes the subject, i think i upset him by telling him hes a broker snd the dogs he is offering should be checked out personally not just from photos and very little videos.
