Okay, no laughing. :-) I feel dumb to ask this, but when you measure a chain collar (not a pinch collar but the other kind) , do you measure ring to ring, or just where the chain attaches to the rings???? Thank you in advance for the help!

Makes more sense to measure just the chain portion as rings can be different sizes.

my herm spreng collars' length description account for the links and one o-ring, which makes sense since one o-ring lays flat.
