Swollen Testicals, American Bulldog! help?!? - Page 1

Hi Everyone, Just thought i would as quick on here to see what you would check for.
I woke up this morning and let my dog out to use the washroom, i noticed his testicals are swollen, red, and they are tight. I made an appt with my vet for this afternoon.
Has anyone dealt with this before? any tips on what to get the vet to check for?
 

Well could be a few things. Insect stings or spider bite? Testicular torsion where they somehow get twisted up inside the sac. Hernia, really bad if it's that. Or he got into something that really irritated his skin.
Hopefully it's nothing serious. And if it was my boy he's be at the vet already, cause that stuff must hurt.

I knew a young guy that was a saddle bronc rider, who told me had a testicle that twisted and by the time he got to the doctor, they had to remove it. He was proud to tell me, however, that the doctors told him he could still make babies. Yippeee!!
He continued to ride saddle broncs, so, don't know how the remaining testicle faired &:-/
I had a horse that periodically I'd have to manipulate one of his testicles around to the proper position. Same thing happens with race horses sometimes.
So it could be the problem your dog is experiencing, but time is of essence to save them (the balls).
