I would love to have a look at some bad elbows. I'm not very confident in what I am actually looking at.... You, of course don't need to post the dogs' names. This post is for information and education only.

I have no idea how to read elbows either, these are grade one, with a normal elbow inbetween to compare to!
First one the Left elbow Grade 1, second pic the daughter that has a normal elbow, third picture the moms elbow grade1

Thank you Mirasmom :) What part of the elbow dictates good/bad djd do you know? I origionally thought it was the joint but think it has something to do with the space behind the joint? I'd like to get a better idea (for myself at least) why or what radiographical findings constitutes bad elbows.

Ha Ha, just have to laugh at the English version of the people that make the decisions when
it comes to grading hips & elbows..... "select group of scrutinisers"  Ha, good one, I hope that they kick ass;)

Super nice import......:-(

Hips are easier to guess at because its so straight forward. Elbows are much more difficult because there can be several different issues which are all combined into the ED classification.

I see that.. great illustrations in the links thank you!! I have a lot of reading to do :)
Jenni, I can very easily see why that elbow is not good. That is a shame.
