Does anyone else here give their dogs kefir?  I make my own kefir and began giving it daily to my dogs over a month ago and they love it (I also take it daily).  I was just wondering if anyone else has been using it for awhile and what long term benefits they have noticed.

For those who don't know about kefir, here are some links:

I tried it for about 2 months. I didn't notice a big difference really, so I quit feeding it. Maybe I didn't stick it out long enough? Who knows

i use it sparingly, mostly I make my own Kombucha tea, they dogs don't get it much though.  I don't give my dogs much dairy stuff ever, it's a rarity, and most commercial Kefirs fall under dairy

I do, every day. Chaos loves it and as soon as he sees me straining the grains, he starts drooling. He also gets any extra grains I have. I know people like giving their dogs yoghurt and probiotics, but to me kefir does that and more, since it has a lot more live bacteria and yeast (SCOBY) than an average probiotic and is so much cheaper.

My dogs have been having Kefir for about 15 months, they love it.

The one thing that I notice is that their coats have an amazing shine.
