Spring with Qira - Page 1

Finally got a decent spring day here! No rain or anything, so before I got to my errands today, Qira and I took the frisbee and the camera to the park for a little fun. There was no one else there, so we had free run of it, which is always nice!

Of course, I'm mean, so I put her frisbee up on the play-thing to see if she could figure out how to get it down.



Did that a couple times, and each time she got it... the first time she actually used the ladder (after seeing me use it to take that second shot above)... smart, smart girl! She first had to check each bar, then she put her two paws on the top and scrambled up the bars with her back feet. Unfortunately I didn't get a shot of that, my camera "caught" just as she got to the top. She had to stop and give me that "You suck" look of course... LOL!



Each other time she jumped up there she launched through on the open side. I wanted a picture of her actually using the ladder, but she wouldn't do it any more. :P



After that we did a couple recalls - which she rocks at by the way. I need to find my charger for my video camera so I can get some video... when I shout "Hier!" and she comes racing, I just beam a little bit, knowing I taught her that and she does it about perfectly. ;) She even does them joyfully - look at that look on her face!



After that we just played some frisbee...



And then on the way home we found this gorgeous field of purple flowers, and just had to get out and steal a picture. I'm super happy with this shot  - I look at it and think "Damn... that is MY dog!"



Anyways, just wanted to share our day and some pics with eveyone. I think we're going hiking and geocaching today so that will be a good time. Hope everyone else is enjoying their spring too!

Great pics! I used to take my dogs to the playground all the time but haven't recently because kids seem to be there no matter what time we show up. The flower field shot is beautiful. There is a field near me that has yellow flowers as far as the eye can see, I passed it the other day and am hoping to get a shot of the dogs in it this weekend. I hope they did not mow it down yet! Thanks for sharing.

Kitkat, it would. :D I need to figure out a way to make them fairly cheaply though... maybe Pinterest has some ideas?
