As I found myself referring yet again to an old thread that I've had bookmarked for quite awhile, I wondered if other folks here would be willing to share their top two or three old threads that they refer to often - they can be ones that have really helped you when you were struggling with something, ones that made you think "A HA!" (a break through learning moment), ones that never fail to cheer you up when you are having a bad day, etc. The PDB archive is huge so I thought this would be a fun way to highlight interesting threads that I've missed and might be of help to folks new to this forum.
I'll start with my top three threads:

Whenever I feel hard done by then I read Brynjulf's "Crate training help need for x kennel dog" (2011) thread. I always shriek with laughter and realize that my week just isn't so bad. I've sent her thread to a zillion friends, folks that I've supervised, and students I've taught - everyone always comes away laughing.

For a few months now, my husband and I have been working through the terrific thread that Ibrahim started on GSD conformation in 2010. Many helpful links, illustrative diagrams, and great discussions between very knowledgeable folks (a special shout-out to Rik and Ibrahim). We started out just wanting to learn how to stack Bosco (in the broadest sense) so that we can obtain his show rating in June 2013 but it's now evolved into conversations at dinner on the impact of structure/angles on the GSD's working ability. Martin is a mechanical engineer so I always find his thoughts and diagrams really interesting. Of course, this means that I keep pestering a friend with questions about stacking and structure. LOL.

Workingdogz's comments in the 12XSchH3 (2012) thread really helped me understand the comments that a few friends made when they talked about campaigning their dogs nationally in IPO and CKC obedience. It also helped me better understand why a friend's dog that we trained with for quite awhile (and was awesome) did so shockingly poor during a trial.

Ibrahim,
That Defense drive or Prey drive thread is a classic! Lots of BS on that thread, thank goodness for GSDfan and a couple of others, the rest of the posts and posters were ridiculous.

Thanks Slamdunc for the advice, there was a rather recent thread where you explained to me the difference between prey and defense, that was a real good thread but I couldn't find it as I forgot the name.

Explain to me again why a dog who trials a dozen times is somehow better than a dog who trials only once at SchH3 ? Still not gettin' it.

Daryl,
There are just some things that people just don't get, I suppose this is one of them for you. I understand why you can't comprehend it, but I don't have the ability to illustrate it to you any better than Workingdogz or Susie did.

Travel stress resulting in dietary weight loss, car sickness, diarhea etc. doesn't exclude national or international level champs. Take Ozzy Barnero, for example. He was probably as much a wreck by his first "3" as any trial he competed in afterward. Multiple titles are not any reliable means of measuring the worth of a dog, not at all. No Jim, I think you can't explain it, any more than other questions you've avoided.

Daryl,
Why don't you start a new thread rather than hijack this one? How about a thread about questions that I've been avoiding answering over the years? Perhaps you will get those pesky questions answered, even though I have no idea what you are talking about? I will say ignoring and avoiding are often mistaken by some. I have some questions for you that I'd like to pose on that thread also when you start it.
