Program for retired military working dogs deemed unadoptable - Page 1

This rocks!   Every one of us here in the US should contact our Senators and Congressmen and the Armed Forces in support of this program--these dogs ALL deserve a retirement home, and who better to partner them with than other US veterens, or retired law enforcement K9 handlers, who are familiar with military/LE working dogs?

Save A Vet is a great organization!
Danny is a great guy and has the support of many of us here in Illinois where he resides.
Topline German Shepherd Dog Club is a big supporter of his organization.
I met Danny about three years ago at the IKC Show in Chicago.
I was involved in a presentation there with the Governor of Illinois.
The day prior to the presentation I was working with the Governor's advance team.
We were walking around and looking at some of the booths as they were being set up.
We happened upon Danny and his retired MWD GSD.
He told us what his organization was about and we immediately called the Governor to see if Danny could be included in the presentation.
The Governor gladly said, Yes! Our Governor takes the welfare of our military men, women, and now dogs very seriously, both active and retired.
It was an honor to introduce these two men to each other the next day.
The original Pet Supplies Plus store in Chicago has long been managed by a retired Vietnam era MWD handler.
One of the nicest, kindest men I know.
He has helped Danny be able to have donation jars in all the Pet Supplies Plus stores here.
