Hello all, I rescued a DDB x mastiff 3months ago he's just turned a year old, he was good as gold when I first got him but now it seems if he can't get his own way he barks in your face & bites your hands, example... When we are eating he will stand right in front of you with his nose nearly on your plate & whimpering & if u tell him 2 get on his bed he will bark right in your face, why does he do that? He never listens 2 you & will do what he wants.

Dogs like kids need boundaries.  If you are not consistent with enforcing your boundaries.  Then you aren't going to have obedient dogs.   Training is about consistency.

I used to rescue mastiffs (Neos and the likes) Ive NEVER had one even consider doing that to me. If the dog won't listen to you then you have allowed him/her to choose not to. I'm not sure what a DDB is (Dogue Bordeau?) but most are very smart and actually smarter than some humans I know. Your dog has figured out that he/she can manipulate you to get what he wants. Someone must have given in a time or two or the dog wouldnt be doing this. If you cant get the dog to mind then your headed for trouble, even more than you have now. I would STRONGLY encourage you to seek a trainer who can help YOU, get control. The dog will be resistant at first and may through his weight around, but in the end, all will be better.
