Our Departments K9 is healing nicely after having emergency surgery to remove an infection around his trachea last week. Great news it turned out to be a staph infection and not cancer! This could have been caused by a thorn, stick, etc...Thank goodness his handler is very attentive and caught the infection as it grew quickly over a few days. If not found the infection could have moved into his blood stream and at that point there would be nothing that could be done. I asked if anyone knew of place that sold Gift Baskets that can be sent to dogs/cats and were all natural. I did find Woofables Gourmet Treats and they were great and also added a get well note for me. I've included a picture of Taz and his Gift Basket :) The Vet said he'll possibly be back on Patrol in Two weeks!!!
