I am posting this for the benefit of those of you who are having similar problems.
Since Oli began to make changes to the board several months ago, I have been having trouble posting links and pictures. Sometimes the link or picture would post, but most of the time it wouldn't.
It was driving me NUTS! I tried everything I could think of to fix it, and nothing worked.
Well, finally, through trial and error, I've found the solution.
There must be some sort of compatibility issue between my computer and the CK editor, the screen everyone uses to edit their posts.
When I try posting a link or picture with my cursor at the far left side of the screen on a new line, it will not post. It will show up in the editing box, but will not show in the final post. Usually, the editing screen hangs up, and when I try to close it it says "Some of the options have been changed. Are you sure you want to close the dialog?"
If I leave the cursor at the end of a line with text in it, it WILL post!
Mind you, sometimes weird things happen, like the picture will appear in the middle of a sentence, but that's okay. I can go back and fix it, usually by hitting 'enter' a couple of times, then deleting and retyping the text that got split off.
The other weird thing is that even when I put the link in the proper box in the text editor (the chain link box) it will not be clickable. If I highlight it, then go back in and put it in the box a second time, it WILL be clickable!
