I had posted my dogs ped in here some time ago. I just revisited it last night. Now there are HD markers over a number of dogs in her ped. My question is how do you come about knowing these dogs have HD? Has someone submited xrays or is this just from someone's word of mouth? My female is for a breeding program and her hips are good, but if there is this much hx of HD in her ped I DO NOT want to use her as a breeder as I care for my breed and want to better it. Thank You I just would like some insite as to how this site has gained this knowledge before I really freak out.

The "HD" you're seeing is there usually followed by hip grade. If no grade was ever recorded, it just say's HD then Elbows. Doesn't mean dog has HD. Hope this helps. Take care
