Just want to learn about the various types of bags used for pet food, pluses and negatives and how the type might affect the quality or shelf life of the food. Which type do you prefer, paper, plastic etc etc and why? what can you tell me about the bag?

I think the better foods use a metallic mylar type of bag. It would appear to retain the product moisture and being an engineer, you would know how hard it is to rip mylar.

I agree....Solid Gold makes sells their food with that kind of bagging and it seems to keep the food fresher longer
