I would like to thank everyone who attended the NASS this weekend.
But I have to say I am shocked and disgusted at the show secretary and her bullying. She does not know how to run a show
or treat people.
Irene and I have been bullied, talked about behind our backs and treated like we have never done a show in our lives. I for one have
been doing shows for over 25 years and certainly Irene has been doing them for at least 10.
We had no direction and could not make even the smallest decision without her approval. Things were thrown in our lap days before
the show. The rings were put in a baseball diamond even though we told her repeatedly it was too small and enclosed with fencing.
Of course it had to be there and then it had to be moved to an area where you could actually put 2 rings. So double work. The tent
people had to come out again to move the tents.
This entire experience has been one that has made me understand why people don't volunteer. Why would you want to try to put on
a show and be treated so badly?

Pat and Irene have always put on great shows, and again did a wonderful job of getting what was needed done in spite of show chairperson/secretary.  It is really amazing that the GSDCA-WDA is continuing to tell us how much they are accomplishing and doing for us, and yet the bullying of the membership continues unabated.

Also was wondering how is it that the RD from region 1, can go through the registation bins and get his own numbers etc, Isn't this a conflict of interest.  Could lead some to believe impropriety is occurring.

Thank you to Pat, Irene, Jason and all the local team volunteers who worked so magnanimously on behalf of the entire WDA membership and their guests.  They are Good Shepherds.  I hope that the WDA leadership acknowledged and thanked them publicly.   (I was not there Friday and left before the Kennel Group fireworks on Sunday.)

Those of us who have worked at NASS check-in over the years know full well that the Region 1 Director has a long and deep history of incomplete paperwork submission.

Thanks everyone for the support. It means a great  deal to know the hard work of our members was appreciated. I am very proud of all our Topline members who came out to help and support our club. No public thanks from the board that I am aware of. All I have heard about are all the different ways I and Topline failed. We walked the grounds each day to pick up trash but each morning I was chastised for not removing the garbage from the rings even though I was told I could not go in the rings or interact with the judges since I was showing two of my females. I respected that because I do like my placings to be earned honestly. We handled the grounds, the rings were her responsibility and I think if everyone in the ring grabbed one box and put it in the trash on their way out, it wouldn't be a bi deal.

I was also blamed by Alethea for not having anyone in place on Friday morning to control parking even though no one at Topline was informed that we had any parking restrictions in the North Lot until the park director came out and was upset because we had not left them the required spaces for their programs. He stated that he informed Alethea and it was all spelled out in the contract.

The list of frustrations and abuse is long. She has continually made clear to us that the NASS was not a Topline event but a WDA event and she was the chair and only she could made decisions. That would have been fine if she would have made the decisions in a timely manner. Alethea told me her mind works fast and those working with her need to learn to keep up with how quickly her mind works. (btw - I think there are meds for that!) I am not sure the speed at which my mind works compared to Alethea's but I do know my thought processes are clear and organized and I am capable of communicating clearly to others. An ability that Alethea clearly lacks.

All I can say is we did everything we were asked to do and more. We did it well.

Well, I will thank you, Irene, Pat and everyone else involved from Topline for your efforts and to commend you for your apparently thankless efforts in helping pull off the event despite the obvious obstacles you encountered.

On a side note, I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to stop and say hi to my pup during the show and at the hotel.  The amount of exposure and socialization he was able to get in such a short period of time this weekend was very much appreciated.

It seems that the membership of WDA needs to make an effort to contact RDs and make sure that membership views are effectively addressed.  Now that is not going to be effective with some, I know, but change can only happen from within.  And members need to vote.  Maybe a NASS boycott next year if the same people are in charge?

Just thinking...

The only thing that will change this organization is if we do not support them with our $.  This is the only thing the power hungry abusers on the WDA board will be affected by.

That might not even work now, grshep9; after seeing the working males class turn into a blood sport yesterday, I'm thinking they might get Bud light to sponsor the event from now on!

GCK -  Saw the Region 1 Director with his hands in the NASS check in bins, even though he was participating.

There is suppose to be a membership meeting this next weekend via phone conference.  The membership was asked to send their topics to the regional directors so the topics could be consolidated and the board review.  The membership will again get no say and the board will amke the decisions that benefit themselves.
