Dawulf

Had to share this one!!

So I had to run to Petco today, to get cat food, and I of course always check out the clearence bin...

...and I saw this little guy. How cute is that? How many elephants in ducky inner tubes do you see running around? It was only a buck or two, so I got him... got home around 7, and at about 9:30 tonight I had to clean up this murder scene...

(pics are taken with my cell phone, so bear with me...)

The other dog had torn the inner tube off and it is still intact (for now), but the poor Elephant has had a proper burial. Love the look Qira was giving me though "...it broke!! :( " LOL

That's way toooo funny. And it was a cute toy--I never saw one like that before. To me she has a look on her face like what the heck did you expect mom? LOL.............that's why most of my stuffies come from the Goodwill.they end up in the trash anyway. And have you ever thought how did they get all that stuffing in that one little toy? You know you bring it home in one hand and it takes a hefty lawn bag to get it all out to the trash can!!!!!!!!  Love the pic--thanks for sharing..........

"guilty as charged!" . . . therefore sentenced to "forgiveness" because it's funny.

Cute photo, happens way too often!!!!
I only have one GSD here, that I am boarding for a guy in Afghanistan, she loves her stuffed toys and doesn't shred them, sleeps with them like a pacifier. I have to lock them in her crate so the other dogs won't steal them and shred them!!!!

RLHAR

My male, who has jaws that can (and have) rip the front tire off a lawn rider mower in two tugs, likes to pick apart stuffed dog toys.

He will take them, lay down and just spend hours picking apart their seams.   Once they fall open and the stuffing starts to fall out, then he picks them up and shakes them to get rid of all the stuffing and he'll prance around and woobie on the 'carcass' forever if I let him (I don't).

Vonissk - Oh I know... and this thing had a weird squeaker too - it was a piece of foam inside a bag and the bag had a little hole in the top that was the squeaky part (you can see it in the picture, kinda,  by her paw). While I was trying to figure out how it worked she came over and bit part of it and popped it, so so much for that. LOL! I am used to the little round plastic things though.

Steph - Qira is like that too, with certain toys. She has two that she's had since I got her (almost a year ago)... aside from the two she came with... and she will gather them all up in a pile and sleep with them, especially "Foxy". She beats the crap outta that thing sometimes and I'd swear it was invincible (still squeaks!). But it never fails with these cheap things. She will just brace them down with her front paws and shred them.

RLHAR - That is cute! Our other dog likes to pick at things like that too, but never prances around after he's done. He actually wound up picking a zipper off of my dads sleeping bag once - naughty boy!

Sunsilver - LOL!!!

Sunsilver, I'd say that is a 2 hefty lawn bags job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dawulf I see the squeaker. I saw it before and wondered what the heck it was.

My Grandpa dog, as I fondly call him--had taoys he never tore up either. In fact I found some rubber ones that did have the squeaker chewed out of them but otherwise were good enough for the pups to play with. He also had this big bear--he protected it. One of the girls got hold and tore part of the stuffing out--he still carried it and was proud of it. Then someone got it and shredded it. He found a piece of it and carried that around until one day when his back was turned I pitched it. Now he has another bear--he seems to like bears--and he carries it around and growls at anybody that looks at it. But one day I fear it too will end up in the trash can..........
