i was just woundering what are the mating ages for a male and female german shepherd.

Eighteen months minimum, health tested and at least a BH IMO

This may sound strange, but i won't breed any dog until they are over 3 years old. I'd rather breed a fully mature animals then a teenager. I didn't breed either of my two Am Bulldogs till they were nearly 3.5 to 4 years old.
Course i know people that are just the oppisite and breed females on their first or second heat. Rush to breed males that are bearely 7 months old. To me that like breeding your 11 year old daughter and your 12 year old son. Seems stupid in human years, but i guess it's ok in dog years?
Don't rush, let the dogs grow up, mature and do something with them first.
