Has anyone tried this or heard of it?
I heard it wipes out coccidia and it never comes back.
Does it really work?

IMO much better to use Baycox as it has been tested on dogs. Both these drugs are best used to prevent coccidia by treating weekly starting at 3 to 4 weeks of age.

I've used Ponazuril that was made up by a compounding pharmacy for me with a vet's prescription. It worked very well on 6 week old puppies, and I'd use it again. I don't think you could say that "it never comes back" -- but it does kill off the current load of coccidia.

Ponazuril is awesome, I just wish it wasn't so expensive and that it didn't require a vet's prescription.
I've used ponazuril for dogs, horses (for EPM, when I worked at racetrack) and my rabbits (when i used to raise rabbits) If anyone here is familiar with rabbits, you know they have extremely sensitive systems, If I can use a medication on a rabbit then I know it's pretty darn safe.
Ponazuril will kill the coccidia that an animal has in it's system, but it does not prevent animals from getting re-infected.

We used it on the one and only litter that had coccidia... redosed 3 weeks later I believe and never had a problem again. I also
treated ALL of the dogs on the property, just as a precaution. I would usually not give meds unless necessary.

yes , i use Ponazuril when my pups are 5 weeks and get there stools check when they get vac. at 7 weeks never had coccida come back and there was only one puppy i can remember that got it after it left my home, as some can strss out so bad they can cause coccida to flare up. this drug is excellent and i use it every time , just in case, cause once coccida is in your envioremnet it will always be there. i sure wish you did not need a vet to get it.
