why do male dogs always hump other males only?

I always notice this at dog parks specially its always males humping other males and never males humping females?

Um, I don't guess I ever pay attention. Maybe a dominance thing? I've never noticed them ONLY humping males...

lol any time i have been to a dog park i see 3 or 4 males humping other males my dog has never been tagged (female) and I have never seen such an act being done to a female. I was just curious.

Whenever I see a male attempt to hump a female (who is not in heat) the female always tries to rip the male's head off. My dad's mentally immature male GSD is always trying to hump female dogs, and always getting the crap kicked out of him for it, then the dumbell just turns around and tries it again!

For some reason most males are a little less pissy about being humped than females are.

They don't call 'em Bitches and Dogs for nothin'!

actually when a male touches my female back even a paw she will yelp and open her mouth and show her teeth maybe that just stops them from trying to hump her lol
