A small stray dog in China ran in a 1,056 mile bike race for 20 days for up to 37 miles a day over 12 mountains (and never falling behind) after one of the bike racers gave it some food.  At the end one of the bikers adopted the little dog.

Talk about a dog following you home!

Apparently the dog didn't run the entire length of the race (1,056 miles) at most he ran 740 miles (37 miles x 20 days) and the second link says he covered 10 mountains, not 12.
Still, amazing feat for a little, short-legged dog!

There are likely more dogs put to sleep in the USA than mistreated in China.

I disagree with you HighDesert.  Most dogs euthanized in the USA are euthanized humanely.  I'm sure that China's euthanasia policies are not on par.  Like the how one Chinese county publicly bludgeoned to death some fifty thousand dogs on the streets in 2006.  In 2009 a different county did the exact same thing to more than 37,000 dogs.  Given the size of China and the human population, I'm sure there are far more dogs killed in China than in the USA.
I could go on...

If done properly the difference between a needle or CO is not very different from a blow in the head.

I think more dogs are killed in the USA than in China.

Dog meat is never a stable meat in China, rare food.
