Red Sable

A friend of mine inquired about a six month old LSC on here, very nice looking pup, however, when I saw the pic, I asked them to ask about the ears as the one looked like it was folded over.  Seller said both ears are good.  So, still being skeptical I asked them to ask for a head shot.  Well, here it is.  IMO the head shot is of a mature dog, as I've seen LSC's at six months before, and they looked nothing like that.
The dog is reasonably priced, however, it is from Germany and shipping is substantial, so I told them to pass on this one as I do not believe the seller is being honest.  What do you guys think?

Muzzle on first dog seems much thicker...

I would pass if that is all you get for facts.

LOL

yr
ASK FOR THE TATOO  , the chip number and paperwork showing markings on dog from the vet health records...they ought to provide numerous pictures and a video of this dog walking or in all views and with a tatoo showing...or some obvious mark to show same dog being shipped..

It is so hard to trust something you do not put your hand on personally..It is known that at this time in our country and all european countries   economy is hard up and people are lying right and left to sell, or shall we say   HARD SELL , some of these pups and dogs..

If in doubt ..run ..

German import bitch could have that head at six months.  Some pups are very "finished" (mature-looking") at that point;
but then they go "off the boil" and thus become rather mediocre in appearance, as far as Show-dogs are concerned, once they get a bit older.   Fairly common phenomenon.  ( Not exclusive to German dogs.)

Usual warnings apply about buying any foreign dog: - really know,   and want,    what you are  getting re bloodlines, health tests etc.,  and get to know the breeder / seller well,  before you commit any money;  or don't bother, in case you get ripped off.
Agree with YR - get the tattoo number verified, and I suggest a photo of the dog showing it close up.

Definitely not the same dog: the full shot appear hairy than the head shot. The markings on the shoulders differs: head shot looks more pigmented. On the other hand, it could be the same dog if the "head shot" was taken at an earlier age, while the "full shot" seems the latest, as it appear "more hairy". Again, the teeth appear fully developed at 6 months? Asked for a close-up picture to see the tatoo, but that too is not scam proof. Use ur head and pray.

IMO,I think it the same dog in both photos. And I don´t think the ear is folded in the first picture,I think it something in the background - possibly a tree, that makes it look loke the ear is folded.

I don't see the folded ear in t he picture, but I believe it is not the same dog in the headshot - should have more hair around the ears.  different dogs.  steer clear.

I tink it is the same dog. Just to be sure, I'd ask for a lot more pics and/or video. If there is nothing to hide, that shouldn't be an issue.

Here is my LSC at six months.  Much more hair around the ears as some mentioned.  If that pup did have good ears, why not send it's head shot?  I blew up that pic and still could only see one ear. Anyway, my advice to them (even though they could buy this pup for 1000 dollars less (with shipping) from Germany than from a buyer closer to them ) was to keep looking.

They were told by the seller, that was the only head shot.  I wonder if he is a dealer, I see many for sale by him.

Thanks for the feedback.

I agree with Cage.
I think it is the same dog with something (bushes) in the back ground interfering in the head area. The the ears in the head shot picture look like they might have had some of the hair in the ears shaved away. (Notice the bluntness of the hair on the left ear).
