Great to have so much "what dogs do for people" footage in one place - something the British Kennel Club ought to have been promoting more. The "what people do to dogs" stuff also 'food for thought'. Stuff on the "origins" still rather speculative - suggest: read books by the Coppingers for balance re 'village dogs' and human ancesters.

I watched it from start to finish and a great showcase of dogs in general and their development from wolves as camp followers to modern breeds. However, one thing disturbed me and that is that one of the most popular dog breeds of the last hundred plus years and a breed that has given so much to protect and serve mankind, that is so talented, intelligent, versatile and valued by law enforcement, military, search and rescue and as a family friend and protector got very little (no) play in this production. For me, quite disappointing. Our beloved German Shepherd.

Can second that, Wanderer. A great pity.
