If the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) is the umbrella organization for International Prufungs Ordung (IPO) rules and testing, and the United States is not aknowledged as an affiliated member (on their website), how is it for example that the AWDF is hosting an "IPO Championship" in the Indianapolis area in May?  Will there be any legitimacy to the titles/scores awarded?  I realize that UScA has adopted new IPO rules for the year, and lists other clubs/trials offering IPO titles as well, but who sanctions these events?  The FCI doesn't list any events in the US in either their 2012 or 2013 schedules.

Hard to believe no one here would know who the issuing authority is for IPO titles.  Are the changes a copycat plan by the SV, or official per the FCI?

AWDF is an "invited guest" to all FCI working commission championships with competitors elidgible for all awards.

all titles, scores and awards are recognized by FCI. AWDF IPO Championships are one of the world team qualifiers.

UScA is a member of the WUSV and AWDF so all titles are recognized worldwide

From the AWDF website

To become affiliated with the FCI (Federation Cynologique Internationale). FCI, a world-recognized organization,  acknowledges just one registry per nation. AWDF is an applicant member of FCI. Presently, AWDF participates as a guest member at FCI meetings and invitational events.

OK, so the UScA through AWDF (rather than the UScA through SV) is the one actually awarding the IPO title.  Or is it the AWDF awarding the title?  And the FCI recognizes such (but not the issueing organization), just as they would any other title, i.e., SchH, SVV. ZVV, etc.

FCI and WUSV (SV) recognize UScA's judges titles.
