Is anyone feeding this food? Any comments on the ingredients, etc.?

All sounds good except for the rice, rice is a carb that turns into sugar immediately in a dog's system; it also has no nutrients for them; but the oat formula sounded OK. I have not tried it but how convenient it could be if you have a distributor near you; also it is slightly cooked and I don't know the prices as have not been anywhere to look into it but you CAN do your own formula if it is too pricey. The turkey/chicken/vegi formula could be done probably for about $2.00/$3.00 per pound at home and probably be even healthier. Just a thought, Nan
PS: The reason for the $2.00/3.00 per pound made at home is due to the price of ground meats being so high, if you have a resource for ground meats that would be great and probably or definitely cheaper in a long run and you can vary the formula; pop in the oven for 15 minutes and you have made something very healthy or you could feed raw also. Either would probably be good, you don't have to add any grain if you don't want. BOL Nan

The same company makes two other brands of food.
One is called Deli Fresh and the other is Vital.
These two are much better products.
The FreshPet brand that they make is very similar in quality to Natural Balance food rolls.
(in other words, not that great)
Vital is the highest quality product they make.
Over 80% meat content.
I use Vital as tracking bait.
Both Vital and Deli Fresh can be purchased at Pet Supplies Plus, PetCo or Petsmart.
These two do need to be kept refrigerated.
They recommend that Vital is consumed within a week of opening the package.
