Is it any difference between them ?

Cartrophen is pentosan polysulfate, while Adequan is a polysulfated glycosaminoglycan. Adequan has been available for many years in NA while pentosan has not until recently. In horses the evidence suggests that pentosan is better at protecting against osteoarthritis than adequan when administered intramuscularly. Most of the research was done at CSU.

My understanding is that Cartrophen is a drug (pharmaceutical), whereas Adequan more closely resembles a joint supplement, and is definitely not a 'drug' as such.
