Hi everyone:

I have an almost 1 year old male GSD. The link below shows its pedigree and his picture.

y question is, why does his coat color richness changes all the time?!!. it is really strange because sometimes his coat color is very rich and sometimes he looks pale?!!!

can anyone tell me according to his pedigree if he has got it in his genes and if he would get darker in future or not?!!

can also anyone help me with some effective natural supplements in order to enrich his color pigmentation?!!

Many Thanks.

He will not get more black areas. Saddle-pattern dogs typically get lighter as they mature, especially in the first year as they grow. The intensity of the tan area pigment may change as they grow and shed their coat, and sometimes the same will apply to the black areas--especially as the undercoat grows in and sheds out--in that case, the black isn't really changing, but the undercoat can affect how it looks.
