I was curious if anyone has experienced any leg injuries with their dogs....About 3 weeks ago my dog was jumping and crashed in the jump. Immediately he started to hold his rear leg up. A few weeks went by and I thought the injury was fine but apparently he has hurt the same area again when jumping for the ball....He runs fine and normal, and his gait is fine when trotting, but any time he pushes off that leg, it hurts him. When he sits, you can tell he favors that leg by not tucking it in all the way, same when he downs. Any thoughts or experience with this? I'm thinking he has a strained muscle!

Rest him, no jumping, I would probably give it a little more rest time and take him to the vet if it does not go away. BOL Nan

No way of knowing without a check by a vet. Might be a soft tissue injury or fracture.

Have him checked for a knee injury - sitting with leg out like you mention is a sign. Could also be a muscle pull.
