I just purchased an older Hungarian Import.  On the pink papers the tattoo box has numbers in it and the microchip box is blank.  On the AKC papers and DNA it show  the dog as having a chip.  Whats the deal?  Please help with any ideas.  Thank you.

Have you checked to find the chip on the dog yet?
Perhaps the chip was put in after the papers were transfered.

Im going to go get the chip scanned today.  I just thought it was weird that the chip box on the pink papers was empty and the tattoo box had the numbers in it.  All of the dogs I have gotten from Hungary have been tattooed.  Thank you.  Also I noticed in the Pet Passport that under the microchip section it was blank and down under the tattoo section her numbers were in there. Thanks

With all the respect of honest Hungarians,Croatians,European Union breeders : my friend,if I was you, I will check my dogs, any papers,x-rays,etc ......and they are NOT Pink papers, only Pink papers are from Germany ( this is a new thing I encounter often now, when re-sellers tell people pink papers for dogs from this countries ). Many of us time and time again try to warn people about the scammers and cheaters, but of course, people like to save money. Good luck

You are wrong mr diaz. In Hungary there is available the Sv pink paper for the breeders.

Thanks for all the help.  After emailing the breeder in Hungary we were able to clean the ear and find the faint tattoo.  The numbers match everything.  It was a great time also to treat those dirty ears.  Thanks.

BAXI: the SV papers are available everywhere, I meant that HUNGARIAN papers are not "pink papers"; yes, they are pinkish, BUT what everyone refers to when they say pink papers is SV GERMAN papers. GREAT, everything is ok

No, Baxi is correct.

Hungary is one of the few countries that the SV in Germany will recognize and issue pink papers for.  This occured the other year.  You can verifiy directly through the  SV. It is only through the MEOE.  MNJK is NOT the recognized FCI registry.
