Wow, is what I thought when I came upon this video of this dog.I myself think this dog is all that, AND a bag of chips!
I was considering getting myself a bi-color working line dog when I found this video.
Does anyone know what his pups are like, or better yet, have one to know first hand.
For anyone that tries to state that the appearance of roach-back is from the dog pulling on the lead, needs to watch this video and that ridicules explanation will be deleted from their thought process.
I think this dog is absolutley Gorgeous!

He really is beautiful; regarding the video WOW, you can really see how the spine, hips and back end takes a hit on these dogs; in my opinion he is carrying too much weight for this type of work but I know the SL dogs do carry a little more bulk than the WL; BUT seems that is how they can get hurt.
Overall, yes I agree he is a nice boy. Have you watched Dragos von der Ostfriesische Thingstatte Sch 2' really like that dog also. Nan Best of luck in your search.

HI there KitKat! Merry Christmas!
Bobo is a very nice dog. I would rate his performance as very good! He had nice full grips both times and kept it full during the drive and was even pushing into the helper. SUPER hit on the long bite! The helper jammed him pretty good though and that's not a good thing. It could have seriously injured him! What he needs to improve on is bringing more energy to the guard, a slow out and being dirty after the out. What I mean by more energy in the guard is, he needs to act more like he's serious and not just out for the game. Not all sl's are roached. He is only slightly roached and his movement is very nice. He is slightly over weight, judging by how his skin jiggles and waves with his movement. LOVE his head and coat! His pedigree shows that he does have the better working sl's behind him so he may produce good work. I would watch his progeny and who their mother's were and see if it comes through and how well before getting a pup. JMHO

Just a shame the video highlites the lack of stick hits during any of the drives? lots of shaking but no contact. Wonder why?

Hi Kit Kat
We have had a few litters with Bobo and he is a fantastic male that produces strong, great-tempered pups. He is a substantial male with extreme black & red--Bobo was in Germany for some time training for the 2010 Sieger show in the video with some of the best trainers in the world--don't think he was overweight he is just big boned. As far his bite work goes, the more stick hits he receives the harder he bites, he is an alligator. Remember a slightly arched (roached) back is a strong back.

Bob,
There are two VERY audible stick hits in the beginning of the attack on handler, in real time. I did not see or hear any stick hits on the long bite. But truly, it obvious, this would not have detoured this dog.
Hey! Does anyone know if that's Sabine handling the dog.... Karat's Ulk's owner? Looks like her! Also in the stacking and ring handling, that's Katarina, who was Karat's Ulk's ring handler! lol Inquiring minds want to know....

You don,t feel stick hits would deter the dog? I guess we will never know. Thats the problem with the test. It may be a nice dog it may not but i would never make a judgement call on a purchase by a video or a possible threat, again we will never know?

HEY KITK
I like , the pedigree as DEB highlighted, because of his structure and his reputation of SL lines.
Some of those same older WG lines are in my foundation and cannot be beat..
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=1103
Having started with Cadette v BuscheckerSchloss /Zilla v Wiethurchen
and later adding Dieter who had the SteffenHaus dam Jada v SteffenHaus to work off of, these kinds of SL working kids , especially this one , would be , imo, very good choice
Carl has made a positive recommendation and that counts as someone who has knowledge.
The only thing I see is the Wildsteigerland gene where your coats and livers can pop up , but also with all lines you have to take a chance . Do some more checking
He is one of the more more more , positives and I would be interested. I think I would have him a little bit slimmer....big bones yes, love it, but he could be slimmer
For my 3 cents worth...lol
