Has finally been fixed and upgraded to google maps version 3.
It is much faster now since your browser is not downloading the marker data any more, but google downloads it and shows the marker on the map as needed.
You can also now get a data url to use directly in Google maps (copy url and paste in the query window) or use in the Google Earth program.
Much faster in all.
