Please help us keep this guy from ever owning another dog . We are trying very hard to get almost 200 dogs placed in forever homes and providing food and donations for their care, but there is a slim chance he may get these dogs back. That can't happen.

Thanks so much............

PS: I hope this isn't against any PDB TOS.

Done! I sure hope he doesn't get his dogs back and that he gets more than a slap on the wrists.

Thanks, everyone. If you want more information, you can find it by googling the name of the owner of the dogs. He's also facing felony charges for illegally growing pot. A double whammy.

The dogs are safe now living inside a warehouse at a secret location. They were moved due to suspicious activities at the first rescue site. It's a huge undertaking for Jefferson County, the food bill alone is over 2K per month. Dog people always seem to come through in a pinch, so there have been many donations of money and food.

Sadly the dog hearing has been postponed 2 times and is now scheduled to resume on the 30th. There are many forever homes waiting for these dogs, at least 100 are spoken for and there are quite a few puppies, some whelped since the rescue. I hope that Jefferson Cty gets this settled soon so these dogs can be placed in their new homes. The fear is that they will allow a plea bargain that might include the return of the dogs to the owner. That's a very horrifying thought.

I wonder if this is the same guy, that was having all the husky and GSD crosses, living in a bus, in MT, traveling around...can't remember his name...we saved a ton of them, but unfortunately., most had to be put down due to terrible temperament problems...

No, not the same guy.

A GSD x northern dog  cross isn't always a good meld. There are not a lot of major temperament issues with Malamutes other than some being quite dog aggressive.  These dogs were randomly bred and neglected, but from very good basic lines. There are exceptions of course, but most  well-bred Mals are born people friendly so require very little socialization.

Yet another one for the "Why People Suck" files. <sigh>  Signed it and forwarded the link to friends.

Thanks for forwarding this. We are trying to obtain as many signatures as possible before the hearing on Wednesday.
