Most articles agree that food should be increased starting week 6 (or 5), but there is wide variation in the amount of increase.
At the low end is the recommendation of 10% extra each week starting week 6 leading to 30% extra by weeks 8 and 9.
At the high end is 50% extra at once starting week 6.
The objective is likely to have lean but properly nurished pups at birth that will develop well.
I have German Shepherd.
Do experienced breeders of similar sized breeds have an opinion on this?
