LOL dude, very true. I honestly don't find Mals that attractive, and since I am so shallow, that is the reason I'd never get one. 
This pup has nice bone, gorgeous colouring, very nice structure, but a funny looking head, which I'm sure will straighten around as he gets older. I bet he does mature to be quite a looker.

I like his bone, head is kind of odd (can't really put my finger on it....), structure looks too square unless that's the angle. But, not really fair to rule a dog this age in/out based on conformation.

Definitely very nice bone and color, but that is where it stops for me. Based on this photos his face/head seems very much out of balance (the angle?) and he doesn't have much of a stop (normal for a Mal?). The important thing is that whoever he ends up with him loves him, thinks he's beautiful and treats him well.
BTW, I thought he was a GSD at first, but I guess I'm wrong.

LOL Red Sable, I read your post incorrectly and thought you were implying the pup was a Mal and I wondered how in the world you knew that, but took your word for it! I thought you knew something I didn't and then I thought that sure is a VERY big boned Mal and I've never seen one that color! LOL Anyway, sure looks like a GSD to me!

I said that about the Mal because I know dude is a mal lover

I like every thing about him except his ears, the base of the ears is way behind the skull (like a donkey, rabbit), lol.
