Hang on, maybe I was a bit harsh. There are many dogs are there that need to be adopted. Have you checked your local shelter? I would start there. Good Luck   Pete

Go to petfinder.com and type in your area zip code.
Another thing to reconsider Royal Canine, Eukanuba, and those other fanacy "top commercial" brand of dog food aren't all that great if you look at the ingredants.

http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_food_reviews/showcat.php?cat=all&stype=1&si=Royal+Canine

Here's the royal Canin Veterinary Diet canine Hypoallergenic HP 19 ingredants

Now this is suppose to be for dogs with food allergies mind you:

Rice, soy protein isolate hydrolysate, chicken fat, natural flavors, beet pulp, vegetable oil, sodium silico aluminate, dicalcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, fish oil, fructo-olligosaccharides, potassium chloride, monosodium phosphate, L-tyrosine, choline chloride, taurine, borage oil, vitamins [DL-alpha-tocopherol (source of vitamin E), inositol, niacin, L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (source of vitamin C), D-calcium pantothenate, biotin, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), riboflavin (vitamin B2), thiamine mononitrate (vitamin B1), vitamin A acetate, folic acid, vitamin B12 supplement, vitamin D3 supplement], minerals [zinc amino acid chelate, zinc oxide, ferrous sulfate, manganese amino acid chelate, copper amino acid chelate, copper sulfate, manganous oxide, sodium selenite, calcium iodate], marigold extract, preserved with natural mixed tocopherols, rosemary extract, and citric acid.

let's not forget the leaf eaters,Yeah sue me, I'm making fun of these diehard vegetarians wanting to put their meat eating canines on their diet.

Royal Canin Veterinary Diet canine Vegetarian formula

Brittany
before you poo-poo any one feed over another,,,,,,,,,one must admit that EVERY dog is different.

i have one dog that does better on Royal Canin then Orijen.......he cannot stand such high protein...
i have one that cannot stand any type of grain......he does best on TOTW
i have one that can eat pure corn and do very well on it - not what I feed but you get the drift.
i have one dog that cannot tolerate raw or even cooked meats.

that being said, i don't give so much credence to the dogfoodanylsys because they don't take the dogs into consideration........

BTW why are you using perscription royal canin ingrediants and not regular royal canin ingrediants?

mehtesham77
this IS a joke, right???

Mehtesham - questions:

Why do you want the dog?
Why does it have to be a 'big' dog?
Why does it have to be 'pure' and not a mixed breed?
Why do you not adopt from a shelter?

Brittany, - I would have more concerns than what this guy is going to feed the dog if he ever gets anyone crazy enough to give him one (God forbid).
