Petty Officer Jon T. Tumilson, thank you for you service and ultimate sacrifice. Your heroism will be your legacy and will never be forgotten by the people you sacrificied your life for. My sincere condolences to your family (including Hawkeye) and the others lost too soon.

The same weekend my son's friend Officer Jeremy Henwood was shot in the head and killed on duty these brave Navy Seals also perished. It was a very sad weekend to say the least. It does make me feel good that so many people not involved in the Military still take the time to mourn the loss of these great people.

I read this article and yes it was so sad but that was one dog that really loved his partner. It reminded me of when we lost our last shepherd a few years ago. I buried her in the corner of our front field where her and our Bouviers would run the fence line one behind the other. I knew our old male and her were great pals but after I buried her he just layed there at the grave and would not leave her. It took a good week before he decided she wasn't coming back and got back to normal. To this day none of the Bouviers ever walk where she was buried but go around that plot as if they know and respect her final resting spot. The loyalty of dogs never ceases to amaze me.
