Vonissk can confirm this but I think it is rural area. Not many neighbors and family must not live in area. They called cops to do a welfare check. Elderly, in rural area living alone not uncommon.

The bigger issue was the elderly HUMAN BEING left un-attended. He died a horrible death of heat exhaustion.

Right after the story ends is a link to read more. Just clicked it and it says he was a puppymill breeder. Way too many in Texas and way too many animal hoarders in our state as well. Cant find the other story I read a few days ago about 65 chihuahuas rescued and I think it was here in San Antonio. That breed is a notorious victim of animal hoarding in San Antonio.

Point being, the man was an animal hoarder. If he was 93, I'd feel sorrier for him. But as it stands, I feel just as sorry for the animals in his "care," if not sorrier, than I do for him. 73 is both old enough and young enough to be responsible for your own actions!
