I've recently bought an Acme stainless steel shepherds whistle, and am having the devil of a job getting the hang of it. Can anyone give me any hints and tips?

Abby, I once asked a lady at a GSD show where I could get one of those from, she offered to give me one BUT said that I would NEVER get the hang of how to use it.
