I hope some one can help me here, this is my first gsd and I love her, she is very(too) smart for her own good, bright and does very well with my 3 kids(3, 2 years old and 4 months old) ,she is 12 weeks old and weigh just 6 pounds.......she plays, naps, eats(2 to 3x a day) and drinks normally.......is her weight normal for her age?.......

no...do you have her pedigree??....doesnt sound like a gsd.....she should be around 16-30 lbs, and 16 is a very low weight,but possible depending on bone structure

6 pounds are roughly equal to 3 kgs and that is way too less for a 3 months GSD female puppy, at this age she should be round 9 kgs. A GSD female puppy at 6 weeks is usually round 4 kgs.

I cant comment on if your pup is normal; but I thought my shepherd girl was tiny. She was 9lbs at 3 months (roughly 13 weeks). Now at 5 months she is 34lbs.

A picture would be nice to see.

A normal size GSD pup is between about 10 and 18 pounds at 8 weeks. Occasionally, they'll be a little smaller or a little larger at that age. So 6 pounds at 12 weeks isn't normal for a GSD pup.

....the breeder gave me the AKC paper for this puppy, w/ DN#, stating Sire and Dam's names, also I saw the puppy's parents...I was told she was the runt...do you think she will be a dwarf??......By the way, parents are GSD normal size.....and Thanks for your reply....

I have two 12 weeks old GS workingline puppies right now a boy and a girl.
My girl right now is 30.7 lbs and my boy is 37 lbs.

Sounds pretty small to me, even for the runt. I used the following link to judge where my GSDs were for growth.

I have 3 GSD females and at 13 weeks they were 26.3, 26.9, and 30.1 pounds (as recorded at Vet visit). You can see from the pics taken at aprox 12 weeks that they are not over-weight. Is the weight you listed from you Vet's office? I would wonder why your Vet has not commented about her size, as it is the size of a one month old, not almost 3 month old.
