We have had three wolf hybreds over the years. Two were Shep/wolf and one was Malmute/wolf. Two males one female. All of them were amazing. Of course because of thier high intelligence they need to feel part of the family pack. All 3 were wonderful with kids and other animals. The only animals that they all really wanted to hunt was mice and rodents. One needed lol a little extra convincing that Chickens are part of the family too LOL but now he is thier valient protector. There are many good reasons to have Hybreds. I agree that pure wolves are best left in the wild but sometimes things happen and they end up with humans and cannot be released back into the wild. Some of these animals are best in a zoo or rescue place but some are better with people depending on the situation. Every situation and animal is different. All I can say is that I have spent time with many wolf Hybreds from lower content 40 to 50 percent Wolf to higher 83 percent wolf. All of them had been raised right and were a blessing to thier humans. They also lived long with few problems. Sure, if you don't understand them or coop them up and or not train them there will be problems as with any breed. Cornelia.......

I wonder what it is that makes people all of a sudden wake up one morning and say I think I'll post on the database about how great my wolf hybrid is?  Never posted before. no arguments going on for or against them and then Poof..........

those darn hybreds are just perfect.. blessing on a 10 foot chain in my back yard fenced with 10 foot fence. She drags around a tire, so she wont run too far if she decides to somehow get through my gate.... I love those hybreds.

pretty much the same reason they show up here a couple times a year touting shilohs, pibalds, brindles and all the other "variations" of GSD. they like to throw out a couple of soft balls before the sales pitch.

YES, You have shown how much you know about the subject by the spelling of the word
An accident waiting to happen from a stupid irresponsible person who thinks they are clever but certainly lacking a bit of brain power

Good posts everybody. I think I like Pack's the best because I need more " decoration" to my yard. Yeah I can see the great area of nothing but dirt where the chain is dragged all day.  And since it's a hybred I'd think you'd need a semi tire and that's just what I want in my back yard. Since I have nothing better to spend my money on sure I can easily add 4 more feet to my existing fence.  After all, it's a WOLF HYBRED and that makes it worthy.
Good Grief Charlie Brown!!

but sometimes things happen and they end up with humans and cannot be released back into the wild. Some of these animals are best in a zoo or rescue place but some are better with people depending on the situation.  Seriously!!!!!  OMG  (sidenote - I thought rescue places had humans)

This sounds so much like the crap the lady that lives a county over from my brother says.  She just finished a breeding between an Akita and a Yellow lab because she wanted to give people the wonders of an Akita and Lab without the bad parts of each breed.  She believed that Akitas have reputations for being aloof and dangerous while labs are too friendly so she picked "the prettiest" to breed, an Akita mom because females are so much more gentle so she felt sure this would increase the gentleness.  Keep in mind this is her 3rd little genetic experiment.  She bred a PitBull to a Poodle because "everyone knows poodles are too gay and pitbulls are too macho and I wanted pretty dogs so the momma is the poodle and the papa is the pitbull because that is just right".  Her first one didn't go so well, the Great Dane/Yorkie experiment because everyone loves both dogs but one is too big and the other too small.  Unfortunately my brother's wife bought the reasoning and got him an Akita/Lab puppy for Father's Day.  This wack job (the "breeder" not my sister-in-law) gets rid of the parents once they have produced her backyard genetic experiment.
