So, I took "Osiris" (that's the name I decided on) for his first street walk tonight. Street walk as in the road from the house, and not just in public buildings in town. I took the adult pack with me as well, his parents and his big brother, and the pup did awesome for his first walk out there. We passed quite a few houses where dogs are (I picked the areas where I knew I had control of the neighborhood dogs). The first house we passed, he stopped, stared, and was nervous for a couple of second, so I guided him with a treat and he followed along and the dogs that were in the yard didn't even exist to him after that. Then we passed a yard with three dogs (adult dogs who were smaller than him, more like rats) and he was curious but moved right along and ignored after a few seconds. We only walked about a mile (it was still somewhat hot out) and we passed quite a few dogs. On the way back he didn't even pay attention to the dogs, treat or no treat and just walked beside me focused on the walk. I definitely picked the right puppy out of my litter. So willing to please, independent enough for me, but not TOO independent, confident for his age for a Husky, great food and toy drives, and good looks to top it off.

Will he be pulling any sleds?

james, he will eventually. More so a road type sled with wheels/brakes. Not to mention he'll also eventually go running along side the bike as well. Lots and lots of training to accomplish before that point, not to mention, a lot of growing to do. He's a very stocky puppy, just like his dad at that age.
