Switched over to raw food recently while intending to continue feeding Orijen.
Within 3-4 days, explosive diarrhea. Stopped the raw and Orijen and just
have him on chicken and rice to calm his system.
Without opening up a huge debate on raw, I was hoping to gain some
insight into a top 5 list (or further info) for raw. While I was able to find
numerous sites to advise on kibbel, it has been much more difficult
with raw.
If it helps, I live in CT.

Try K9 Kraving and Martin's K9. Some butchers will blend a mix for you.

Check Top Quality Dog Food, Greenbelt MD. Although you are in CT. at least you will have some idea of prepared raw food mixes.I know he delivers to Long Island, not sure if there are any Ct. customers. There are around ten people that train together in N.J, myself included that purchase his food direct. My dogs can,t wait to eat and as far as I know the others all seem to be doing just fine. Hope this helps.

Try some Adaby..
Consider mixing the frozen raw with the granular food.
Pet Pantry in Greenwich has it.. near exit 2 or 3 off of 95. They also have a huge selection of others.. in a giant walk in freezer.
You can find Abady all over the NE.. including NY and MA.
Sometimes combining foods causes problems...
Depends on the dog. You might have to pick from one or another.. or possibly feed at different times of the day.
Raw by itself is really easy for them to digest... I use it exclusively when on road trips.
